Apple cake with Gifflar
Offer a new version of the beloved apple pie. Perfect for dark autumn days
Ingredients
- 1 Bag of Pågen Gifflar Kanel (Cinnamon)
- 2 apples
- 2.5 tbsp cinnamon
- 2 dl apple sauce
- 85 g butter in thin slices
- Custard
Method
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 175 degrees.
- Divide the croissant (gifflar) down the middle
- Peel the apples. Cut them into thin slices.
- Put parchment paper in an ovenproof dish.
- Place half of the Gifflar in the bottom of the dish.
- Add a dash of apple sauce on each piece of croissant.
- Spread half of the apple slices to cover the Gifflar*.
- Powder with half of the cinnamon.
- Spread half of the thin butter slices.
- Repeat steps 6 - 9.
- Bake in the lower part of the oven for 25 minutes.
- Remove the dish and place a serving dish on top.
- Turn upside down. Carefully remove the parchment paper.
- Drizzle with custard on top of the apple cake and serve.
