Whole grain sandwich with smoked mackerel


Serves 4.

  • 4 slices Pågen Kornelle or Pågen Rågbröd 
  • 2 smoked mackerel fillets, skinned and broken into small pieces 
  • 4 poached eggs 
  • 8 cooked potatoes, skin on 
  • 4 tbsp mayonnaise 
  • 2 tbsp finely-chopped chives 
  • dill for garnishing 
  • red onion for garnishing 
  • salt and pepper


  1. Divide the mayonnaise between the bread slices.
  2. Slice the fresh potatoes and lay them on the sandwiches.
  3. Add the mackerel and eggs.
  4. Sprinkle over the chives, garnish with dill and red onion.
  5. Finish with salt and pepper.
