Apple cake with Gifflar

Offer a new version of the beloved apple pie. Perfect for dark autumn days


Ingredients

  • 1 Bag of Pågen Gifflar Kanel (Cinnamon)
  • 2 apples
  • 2.5 tbsp cinnamon
  • 2 dl apple sauce
  • 85 g butter in thin slices
  • Custard

Method

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees.
  2. Divide the croissant (gifflar) down the middle
  3. Peel the apples. Cut them into thin slices.
  4. Put parchment paper in an ovenproof dish.
  5. Place half of the Gifflar in the bottom of the dish.
  6. Add a dash of apple sauce on each piece of croissant.
  7. Spread half of the apple slices to cover the Gifflar*.
  8. Powder with half of the cinnamon.
  9. Spread half of the thin butter slices.
  10. Repeat steps 6 - 9.
  11. Bake in the lower part of the oven for 25 minutes.
  12. Remove the dish and place a serving dish on top.
  13. Turn upside down. Carefully remove the parchment paper.
  14. Drizzle with custard on top of the apple cake and serve.
