Most of bread's climate impact comes from its ingredients; mainly flour.
Our greatest opportunity to reduce environmental impact is to work with our suppliers to find climate-saving measures – one of our priority areas. Transport is often believed to account for a large proportion of the impact, but only accounts for 6% of the climate footprint.
