French ice cream toast


Ingredients

Serves 4.

 

  • 4 slices Pågen Roast 'n Toast 
  • 50 g wheat flour 
  • 150 ml milk 
  • 1 egg 
  • 1 tbsp vanilla sugar 
  • 1 tbsp butter 
  • 2 tinned pears in syrup 
  • 2 tbsp blueberries 
  • vanilla icecream 
  • 2 tbsp chopped hazelnuts

Method

  1. Mix the flour and milk to a smooth batter.
  2. Add the egg and vanilla sugar.
  3. Let the batter rest at room temperature for 20 minutes.
  4. Cut the pears into small pieces and remove the core.
  5. Cut the crusts off the bread and dip in the batter to cover.
  6. Fry in the butter.  
  7. Plate up.
  8. Garnish with the pear pieces and blueberries.
  9. Add the vanilla ice cream and sprinkle over the hazelnuts.
